Expression of complex proteins 
Zera® technology allows the intracellular expression of complex proteins that are stably encapsulated in StorPro® bodies. Proteins are properly folded and contain disulfide bridges and other post-translational modifications.
Zera® typically increases the expression level at least 10 times.

Versatility
Zera® technology can be used in a wide range of eukaryotic cells (filamentous fungi, mammalian cells, insect cells, whole plants or plant cells, etc). The technology is compatible with expression enhancing approaches and can be applied in both transient and stable transfection/transformation procedures.

High recovery of recombinant products
The downstream process is simple and quick; protein bodies can easily be recovered and washed by centrifugation, thus removing most of the host contaminant proteins.

Better purification yields
Increased expression levels, in vivo encapsulation protecting from proteolytic damage, and easy one-step recovery of 90% pure fractions, facilitate final purification of the protein of interest.

Novel approaches
The stable cross-linked structure of StorPro® opens the possibility to develop new formats to deliver novel drugs, enzymes, peptides or vaccines.
