ERA Biotech attended BIO-Europe 2010 and PepTalk 2011 conferences.

Dr. Stefan R. Schmidt, Chief Scientist Officer, and Dr. François Devesa, Business Developer of ERA Biotech attended last November the 16^th Annual International Partnering Conference, BIO-Europe 2010. It was organized in the International Congress Centre of Munich, from November 15^th to 17^th.

On the other hand, Dr. Goretti Mallorquí, Purification Team Leader of ERA Biotech, attended last January the PepTalk 2011. This year the four pipeline science event took place in Coronado, San Diego, from January 14^th to 18^th.

ERA Biotech appoints CEO, Mr. Lieven De Smedt.

In February 2011 ERA Biotech’s Board of Directors announced the appointment of Mr. Lieven De Smedt as CEO of the company. Lieven De Smedt has more than 20 years experience in leading business strategies of technology based companies towards success. In 2000 he founded InnoTune which focuses in contributing to define and carry out corporate and business strategies for new and existing companies (EU&US). His wide experience in due diligence for emerging technologies, financing rounds and M&A programs has led many companies to significant commercial and financial deals. As engineer he also holds an MBA (KUL-Leuven, Belgium) and a Master in Finance by the University of Tilburg (The Netherlands).

New Intellectual property Manager.

Dr. Pau Marzábal is appointed as Intellectual Property Manager. Dr. Marzábal has lead for seven years some of the R+D projects developed at ERA Biotech, so he has a strong knowledge about Zera ® technology and its applications.

After Fernando Farieta leave, last February, Dr. Marzábal who is actually responsible for the current ERA Biotech patents and trade mark portfolio and has a robust experience in the field is the new manager of the Intellectual Property department.

He speaks fluently Spanish, French and English.
