Dr. Maria Dolores Ludevid Mugica

Dr. Dolors Ludevid is Senior Reseach Scientist at Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG)-CSIC, Barcelona, Spain and  co-founder of ERA BIOTECH®. She is group leader in plant molecular biology and plant biotechnology in the Department of Molecular Genetics of CRAG. She is experienced in maize storage proteins, in plant protein targeting and recombinant protein production in plants. Zera® technology was developed in Dr. Ludevid’s lab and she is a co-inventor in most of ERA BIOTECH® patents. She has a Ph.D in Chemistry from University of Barcelona, has supervised more than ten Ph.D thesis and also is currently a professor of Master in Biotechnology at the University of Barcelona, Spain.

Dr. Steve Reed

Dr. Steve Reed is the founder and scientific director of the Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI). He co-founded Corixa Corporation in 1994, where he served as Chief Scientific Officer. In 2005 he founded Dharma Therapeutics, a Seattle biotech developing transdermal delivery systems. His academic appointments include Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Cornell University Medical College in New York and Research Professor of Pathobiology at the University of Washington. He serves on several editorial review committees, has served as a member of the Tropical Medicine Review Board of the National Institutes of Health and is a member of the Vaccine Development Steering Committee of the World Health Organization. He has more than 210 published original articles, several book chapters, and holds 101 issued patents for diagnostics, vaccines, and therapeutics for infectious diseases and cancer.

Professor Dr. Daniel  Thomas

Dr. Daniel Thomas is Professor of Biotechnology at the Compiègne University of Technology (UTC, Compiègne, France). There, he also serves as president of the Scientific Council of UTC. He is also Course Director of the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes engineering school in Paris and a member of the French Academy of Technology. He further serves as Vice Chairman of the "Industries and Agroresources" cluster in Northern France. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metabolic-Explorer, founded in 1999 and based in Clermont-Ferrand (France). Professor Thomas authored more than 250 scientific articles and a multitude of books.
